How it started - the back story
Tumor size - 2.5 cm breast tumor.
Lymph node status - Cancers cells found in the nearest lymph node to the tumor (it was enlarged so they biopsied it).
Cancer type - Invasive ductal carcinoma (the most common kind of breast cancer)
Tumor grade - Grade 3 (the most different from a normal cell and the most aggressive type of tumor)
Hormone receptor status - ER, PR, HER2/neu are all negative. Therefore I have "triple negative breast cancer"
Cancer Stage - Staged at Stage IIB (tumor with invasion into at one lymph
node) during diagnosis via ultrasound, biopsy, and mammogram. Confirmed Stage IIB after mastectomy (lymph node removal showed "dead cancer" in one lymph node and no sign of cancer in others).
When were you diagnosed? How far along we're you?
